Are You Worried About Hormone Replacement Therapy? Doctors have also had a longstanding belief that using HRT would over many years prevent heart disease and osteoporosis and generally keep women healthier longer. However, this study discovered that the long term use of estrogen and progesterone increased an otherwise healthy womans risk of stroke to 41%, heart attack by 29%, and breast cancer by 24%. With these startling discoveries the study was abruptly ended. There are over 8 million American women who take these hormones to treat the unpleasant symptoms of menopause, such as hot flashes and vaginal dryness. These numbers will most like change in light of this new and powerful information. High levels of stress, inadequate nutrition, mineral deficiency and widespread environmental toxins all affect your hormones and our modern lifestyles are probably to blame for our imbalances. The following is a general plan for replacement of your hormones with natural HRT. You should follow a healthy diet and take Vitamin E at 800 IU, Use a good daily vitamin supplement and Evening Primrose Oil. 1 st WEEK: Decrease HRT gradually. (Take tablets or patch for 2 days, then stop one day, so that you are taking one less dose or patch per week.) Take 1/2 Remifemin one time per day, Progesterone 2% 1/2 teaspoon 1 time per day, Soy Isoflavones 1 time per day. 2 nd WEEK: Decrease HRT gradually. (Take two fewer tablets or patches this week.) Take 1/2 Remifemin in the morning and in the evening, Progesterone 2% cream 1/2 teaspoon 2 times per day, and Soy Isoflavones 1 time per day. 3 rd WEEK: Decrease HRT gradually. (Skip Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Now you are only taking HRT every other day.) Take 1/2 Remifemin in the morning and 1 in the evening, Progesterone 2% cream 1/2 teaspoon 2 times per day and Soy Isoflavones 1 time per day. 4 th WEEK: Full replacement program. (Take your prescribed hormones twice this week) Take 1 Remifemin in the morning and 1 in the evening. Use Progesterone 2% Cream 1/2 teaspoon 2 times per day and Soy Isoflavones 1 time per day. 5 th WEEK: By this week you are no longer taking HRT and are using all natural products which have been shown to be safe and effective.
